Legendary Wedding Makeup- My favourite makeup must haves for non-makeup wearers
If the thought of having someone apply makeup to your face makes you nervous then you'll want to read on...
As a seasoned Makeup Artist, I've had experience working on all types of skin. I have worked with all ages, all races, all sexes and pride myself on being inclusive. I don't have a 'one size fits all' attitude because I understand that each client is different and has different wants and needs.
If you prefer a natural look and don't like to wear too much makeup there are still plenty of products you can use to enhance your features.
Tip #1 - you don't need to wear foundation
Have you considered using a tinted moisturiser? Tinted moisturisers are great because they even out your skin tone and provide a little coverage but don't tend to feel very heavy on the skin.
I love Nars tinted moisturiser because it blends seamlessly and has an SPF 30- which is great for the summer months.
I also like to use Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter instead of foundation, for a lovely natural glowy look.
Tip #2 - powder products can be unflattering
Do you feel like powder blusher/bronzer can look a bit too much? Try a cream blush! You are able to build up to a pop of colour you feel comfortable with. The texture of the cream will give a natural finish that won't look like makeup. Use your fingers to apply and 'press' into skin (don't rub) for the best result. You can also use on your lips to keep the look uniform.
Mac have a great range of cream blushers and I also love Nars liquid blush in the shade 'orgasm' for a gorgeous pop of pink.

Tip #3 - IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WEAR LASHES YOU DON'T HAVE TO
I love to use cluster lashes on my brides because they are so versatile. I can create a totally natural look where no one will be able to tell that they're not real- or build up to a dramatic, full winged eye.
They are really lightweight and you won't feel them once the glue is dry.
If you really don't want to wear lashes I always use waterproof mascara. My favourite at the moment is Maybelline Sky high Mascara.
Tip #4 - START WITH A GREAT BASE
Lastly, if you really want a natural look then it's even more important to get your skincare right. You will then have a beautiful canvas to work on, and if you're really lucky, you won't need much coverage!
I create custom skincare guides for my brides at their trial, so they have time to get a good routine going before their big day.
I hope you enjoyed my post and found it useful. The main point is, you can be whoever you want to be. If it's a natural bride I've got the tools to create a look you'll feel comfortable and beautiful in.
